CEBU CITY, Philippines, Dec. 25, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- ET Energy, a global leading clean energy developer and operator, announces its first commercial solar project in the Philippines. The solar power plant has been finished and connected into the grid on the rooftop of a Ford Motor Company dealership, Fairlane Automotive Ventures Inc, in Cebu City, Philippines.
As one of the largest automakers in the world, Ford Motor Company has always been environmentally responsible, and has integrated sustainability into their entire global enterprise.
ET Energy provided complete EPC services to Fairlane, installing 273 high-quality solar modules. Construction and installation were done strictly in accordance with local regulations. The project has a lifecycle of over 25 years and will reduce both utility costs and carbon dioxide emissions.
Installed capacity is estimated to reach 1.6 GW by 2020 in Philippines. In the past few years, the power supply gap in Philippines has grown - over two million households are without electricity. For this reason, many local industrial and commercial owners find that building a rooftop PV power plant is a good business decision, because it gives them more efficient, stable and lower-cost electricity.
Dennis She, CEO of ET Energy said, "ET Energy has always been committed to entering the Philippine solar market. In addition to this project, a 1.4 MW PV project in cooperation with local well-known power giant has been connected to the grid. We are also constructing commercial rooftop PV projects for Toyota Motor Corporation. These substantial projects show that we can and will fully open the Philippines' industrial and commercial PV market."
