FUQUAN, China, August 14, 2012 /PRNewswire-Asia/ -- On August 11, 2012, the 2012 Fuquan Station Chuanheng Cup National Mountain Bike League took place in Fuquan, Guizhou, attracting over 200 bike riders and sport lovers from all over the country. This event included three parts: 30 km men's elite team, 20 km men's and women's mass teams, 5 km cyclo-cross men's and women's experience teams.
The "Jingufuli" Sightseeing Garden in Fuquan, the host of this event, has convenient traffic flow, unique favorable natural conditions for mountain bike sports and a 5.3 km Class-A track for domestic mountain bike competitions. Fuquan has successfully hosted nationwide mountain bike competitions for three consecutive years. Liu Yuanzhuo, Deputy Mayor of the city told a reporter that in the the future the "Jingufuli" Sightseeing Garden in Fuquan will be built into a mountain bike sports base in Guizhou and the city will be develop "domestic, first-class annual" top mountain bike events to present itself to the best participants in the world.

Fuquan, Asian "Capital of Phosphor" is famous for its rich mineral resources. In this city, there are over 20 varieties of mineral resources such as phosphate, coal, iron, lead, zinc, barite and kaolin, along with 1.2 billion tons of phosphor reserves. Fuquan has developed a native phosphor chemical industry. With the largest phosphor chemical product output in Asia and domestic leading technology, in 2010 the city was named as a "National New-type Industrialization Demonstration Base".
