Extensive cooperation with local Indian brands

As one of BeautyPlus' most valuable target markets, India continues to show significant user growth. In order to further boost India's population advantage, BeautyPlus has decided to optimize its operating strategy. In addition to regular optimization and adjustment of product functions to promote the natural growth of users, BeautyPlus is also actively cooperating with local brands to direct new traffic from the brands.

BeautyPlus recently signed international makeup brand MyGlamm from India for cooperation on virtual makeup trial SDK. The technology, self-developed by Meitu, accomplishes facial detection within an impressive 2.7 million milliseconds, and by precisely locating 118 facial points, it achieves fit and stunning makeup trial effects. Users on MyGlamm will be able to try the products on themselves as in real life, all whilst surfing online. By allowing users to try more than 400 products and see the results, the technology saves time, energy and encourages them to make purchasing decisions.

BeautyPlus has also teamed up with Ventes Avenues to create two new traditional Indian jewelry-themed AR filters for Tanishq, one of India's most celebrated jewelry brands. This has already won the award for "Best Brand Experience in Mobile Rich Media" at the Mobile Marketing Association's (MMA) 2019 SMARTIES INDIA competition.

Owned-and-operated advertising exchange platform further improves monetization efficiency on overseas markets

To achieve complete monetization and build up exclusive advertising system, Meitu launched its owned-and-operated advertising exchange platform for overseas markets this year. With the support of the platform, Meitu is also able to integrate traffic from third-party apps of the same attribute to further improve monetization efficiency while monetizing its own traffic including BeautyPlus through programmed advertising.

BeautyPlus will continue to optimize itself as a leading app in image beautification. At the same time, image processing that is humorous and newer picture taking methods will be developed for users. BeautyPlus is working with brands with regard to IPs, to explore commercial value for both parties; AR effects for full body and background of photos are put on the agenda to provide fresh and new experiences for users.
