RS recognised for providing holistic experience with its optimised eCommerce platform, strong distribution network and comprehensive community support
BEIJING, Nov. 18, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- RS Components, the trading brand of Electrocomponents plc (LSE:ECM), the world's leading high service distributor of electronics and maintenance products, has won the prestigious 'Distributor of the Year -- Honourable Mention' award at the annual 2013 EDN China Innovation Awards. The award recognises RS Components' widespread distribution network and strong support services in China, as voted for by 400,000 engineer readers and members of EDN China.
This award adds to RS Components' accolades in China, having won the same award in 2011 and the 'Engineers' Favourite International Distributor' Award in 2010.
Introduced in 2006, the EDN China Innovation Awards are one of the most influential awards in China's electronics design industry. Clement Zheng, Country Manager, China, RS Components, believes that the role of a distributor is vital as it serves as the link between manufacturers and customers; and is an ever-evolving role due to the competitive market environment as well as customer demands.
