Chinese Film Studio DDP Enters Strategic Partnership With China Film Co., Ltd.

Three-year partnership seeks to help Chinese films make a statement at the box office with greater creative artistry and audience reach

BEIJING, November 25, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Dreams of Dragon Pictures (DDP), the Beijing-based entertainment company best known for its investment in the Hollywood epic Cloud Atlas, announced yesterday that it has signed a strategic three-year partnership with China Film Co., Ltd. (CFC) to promote joint film investment, development, production and distribution.

The parties unveiled a production timeline from 2015 to 2017 comprising approximately 20 films from a broad range of popular genres. Included will be the joint investment and distribution of two mega films -- an epic love story by screenwriter Hui-ling Wang, well-known for her work on Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon, and a futuristic disaster film to be backed by a US$200 million investment and leading Hollywood talent. More details about these and other joint projects are to be announced soon.
