SHANGHAI, Aug. 31 /PRNewswire-Asia/ -- Shanghai Rolex Masters, starring Roger Federer, Rafael Nadal, Robin Soderling and many more leading players in the world, was today announced to join hands with seven national pavilions at Expo 2010. Annika Rembe, the Commissioner General of the Swedish participation at the meeting and signed the collaboration contract.
As a supporting part of the event, the Swedish pavilion will provide the players and tennis fans with the opportunity to have a tour around the pavilion to get a taste of Swedish culture and experience the ”Spirit of Innovation” theme. The Swedish pavilion will also show their traditional performances, culture exhibition to tennis fans and working staff at the Qizhong Tennis Center.
Besides the Swedish pavilion, other pavilions involved in the program include Spain, Switzerland, Serbia, the UK, Czech Republic and Argentina. These nations are home to some of the world's top ten tennis players, such as Rafael Nadal, Roger Federer, Novak Djokovic, Andy Murray, Robin Soderling, Tomas Berdych and Juan Martin Del Potro.
Established in 2009, Shanghai Rolex Masters is one of the nine ATP Masters 1000 events at which only the world’s best players participate. More than 100 tennis professionals will present 99 matches during nine days.
