Third Annual ChinaSourcing Summit for China Software & Information Service Outsourcing Held in Harbin

HARBIN, China, March 1, 2012 /PRNewswire-Asia/ -- The Third Annual ChinaSourcing Summit for China Software & Information Service Outsourcing was grandly held in Harbin on February 25th, 2012. Directed by the Software Services Department of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology of the PRC ("MIIT"), the event was co-sponsored by the China Software and Information Service Outsourcing Industry Association, the Committee of Industry and Information Technology of Heilongjiang Province and Harbin Municipal Government. It was jointly undertaken by the China Software and Integrated Circuit Public Service Platform ("CSIP"), the Harbin Economic and Technological Development Zone and the Pingfang District People's Government of Harbin City. Officials from ministries such as MIIT, famous experts from both home and abroad and senior management from the world's leading outsourcing enterprises were invited to attend this summit.

The theme of this year's summit, "Enhance Information Technology Services, Promote Transformation & Upgrading of Industry", summarized the achievements of China's software and information technology service industry in 2011. Vice president of China Software & Information Service Outsourcing alliance, vice director of CSIP, Mr .Songtao Gao, addressed the second meeting of the second council within the alliance, which was held yesterday afternoon. During the meeting the annual working review was reported, and some proposals and plans were presented. Meanwhile, there were four units joined in the alliance as vice-president units. Therefore, our alliance was becoming more authoritative and more representative. We hope that all distinguished guests and delegates can make good use of this platform created by the alliance to communicate adequately and brainstorm more ideas for promoting, upgrading and transforming China's software & information technology service outsourcing industry.

In addition, at the summit, the Software Department of MIIT issued the Report on China's Software & Information Service Outsourcing Industry for 2012. Chen Wei, Director of Software Services Department of MIIT, mentioned that China's software and IT services industry had seen dramatic growth in 2011, reaching revenue of USD 29.2 billion with YOY growth at 32.4%, which is an improvement of 4.4% compared with the CAGR of 2006-2010 and is 10% over that of electronic information manufacturing. IT consulting and data management and operation services realized revenue of USD 29.6 billion and USD 48.6 billion respectively, which saw respective YOY growth of 42.7% and 42.2%. Software exports reached USD 30.4 billion, out of which software outsourcing exports is USD 5.9 billion, increasing YOY by 18.5% and 40.3% respectively.

President of the Association and Chairman of hiSoft Technology International Limited, Cheng-Yaw Sun, summarized the works of the Association in 2011 and indicated it would keep focusing on encouraging communication and promoting China's domestic market in 2012. Guo Xin, President of IDC China, released his top ten trends of China's ICT industry in 2012, including increasing business mobile applications, demand-driven Internet of Things growth, and large-scale and in-depth cloud computing industry applications, among other trends. Officials from the government's relevant competent authorities, top executives of software parks and IT service companies from home and abroad, industry experts and top executives of internationally famous outsourcers were invited to discuss hot topics of the industry, such as talent development and the soft environment of software parks. Top executives from well-known companies including Microsoft, IBM, Huawei, hiSoft, Neusoft, NEC, Inspur, Teamsun, China Construction Bank and LONGJIANG BANK, Neusoft Education Group, VanceInfo Technologies Inc. iSoftStone and others were in attendance. 330 enterprises were represented and 430 attendees were present at the summit sharing their ideas on how to effectively leverage government, park areas, public services and other environmental resources.

There was an annual award ceremony during dinner that night, which was designed to recognize a group of excellent individuals, companies and software parks that have contributed to the development of the software and information technology service outsourcing industry. The awards included the Industry Contribution Award, Influential Figure Award of the Year, Fast-Growing Enterprise Award, Award for Implementing an Excellent Project, Industry Park with Great Potential for Development and the Award for Outstanding Public Services. They went to industry leaders such as hiSoft, Camelot, Founder, NEC and others.
