HONG KONG, April 22 /Xinhua-PRNewswire/ -- VODone Limited ("VODone" or the "Company") (stock code: 82.HK), a leading tele-media service provider in China, is pleased to announce today that the Company has entered into an agreement to establish strategic partnerships with smoking-quitting products manufacturer, Ruyan Group (Holdings) Limited ("Ruyan", stock code: 329.HK). The two companies will join hands to launch new media marketing campaigns.
VODone is an integrated platform of online video advertising, handsets TV, production and broadcasting of online video content, as well as sales and marketing of new media with a complete set of licenses for operating in the online industry in the PRC. Ruyan is engaged in the manufacturing of smoking-quitting products that combines modern technology and health concepts. This cooperation brings enormous commercial and strategic value to VODone's and Ruyan's respective brand equity as well as their product profiles.
The alliance between VODone and Ruyan was forged on 15 April 2008. Pursuant to the agreement, VODone will act as the communications platform for Ruyan's products via VODone Broadcasting Union System's (VODone BUS, an online video advertising platform) 15 million-video players user platform, VODone's mobile TV, and its various other channels. The platform has a potential reach to 210 million online users, 5.4 million mobile TV users and 350 million smokers in China in the fastest possible way. It is set to hit Ruyan's target customers while enhancing its brand profile and corporate image. This partnership demonstrates VODone's prowess in online new media and marketing in the PRC.
