SINGAPORE, Aug. 20 /PRNewswire/ -- CH2M HILL (www.ch2mhill.com), a global full-service consulting, design, construction, and operations firm, was awarded Silver Awards for 2013 Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) Performance Awards as second consecutive year. Presented by the WSH Council and supported by the Ministry of Manpower, the awards recognize organizations and individuals who have contributed to achieve excellence in workplace safety and health.
T Dr Amy Khor, Minister of State for Health and Manpower congratulated CH2M HILL Singapore Pte Ltd on its success and encouraged them to maintain efforts to achieve continued excellence in WSH performance and practices. Other 2013 winners include Exxon Mobil, Eastman Chemical, Foster Wheeler, and Weatherford. CH2M HILL was also awarded a Safety and Health Award Recognition for Projects Awards (SHARP) for Procter and Gamble project they served, which recognizes projects or worksites that mobilize significant manpower and have shown their ability to manage good safety and health performance on a project-level.
This is the second health and safety recognition for CH2M HILL Singapore following receiving the Gold Award for RoSPA Occupational Health and Safety Awards on May 2013. Dating back 57 years, the RoSPA Awards scheme is the largest and longest-running programme of its kind in the UK. It recognize business and organization health and safety success and not only looks at accident records, but also entrants’ overarching health and safety management systems, including practices such as leadership and workforce involvement.
